Frappeverse 2025 : A celebration of open-source innovation
Author : Ravneet Bedi
Frappeverse India 2025 was an incredibly energizing and inspiring experience. The event was flawlessly organized, with smooth registration, a welcoming atmosphere, and stalls put up by partners showcasing their work over the last year. It was a great opportunity to see Frappe’s product teams as well as community members showcase new product features or their implementation experiences. It was also a chance to engage with the Frappe team, partners, and other members of the community .
This year, ten Promantians attended the conference, with most experiencing it for the first time. For those attending for the first time, it was a great chance to meet the stars – be it Rushabh or Hussain ( of BWH ) and many of them were amazed with the reach that the product had especially in the Middle East and Africa and also the kind of innovation that was happening around the ecosystem.
I also had the chance to connect with some of our existing customers. It’s impressive to witness the growth and evolution of the entire ecosystem over the past two years.
For me, as always, the most interesting presentations were related to ERPNext and the business applications. It was really heartening to see Nabin talking about Roadmap and to know Dipen intends to work with partners and the Frappe Community to help make ERPNext and FrappeHR into even more awesome products . As a consultant I was happy to hear of improvements in budgeting, more flexibility in financial reports as well as the improvements that Rohit and team are building in the warehouse and manufacturing modules.
The new apps ( CRM , Insights , LMS , Helpdesk as well as the new Lending Products) also look to be gaining traction. Michelle’s keynote, where she talked about “Listening to the user” was very reassuring . When I started using those apps, while I “wowed” their creativity , I sometimes did feel let down by some missing “essential” features. This would be a great way to make them into world class products.

Of course , Rushabh’s initial talk , was thought provoking. And Frappe Studio, really looked awesome and will bring low-code development for front-end apps.
But for me , Promantia’s own Paul Clinton’s presentation on Frappe Assistant Core, a MCP server built on the Frappe Framework, was the most exciting. I was thrilled about the feedback and the interest and I hope we are able to engage with the Frappe community to develop it even further. The app is now available on Frappe Marketplace as well.
As the event concluded, I felt a renewed sense of motivation, gained deeper technical insights, and forged lasting professional connections. Frappeverse India 2025 truly underscored the power of open-source collaboration, and I eagerly anticipate the release of ERPNEXT V16 and what’s new happening in Frappe ecosystem.
