Functional Consultant

Job Description

The person would be responsible for functional activities for one or more projects/engagements and would be expected to work across its life cycle with responsibilities that could include requirements gathering and functional solution’s, solution verification, user demos and training and providing functional support.

The role requires business analysts/ERP Implementation consultants with deep customer focus, excellent communication skills, a passion for quality and a flair for leadership. The selected person should be willing to travel to customer locations and show flexibility to honour customer commitments.

Required Skills/Experience:

The person should have a degree/post graduation in any stream with 2 – 5 years of relevant experience as a ERP functional consultant/business analyst.

Other essential capabilities:

  • Experience in functional solution definition and documentation.

  • Experience in software verification by preparing and executing test plans.

  • Capable of interacting well with clients.

  • Excellent communication – verbal, written and presentation – skills.

  • Good analytical skills.

  • Capable of eliciting and documenting customer requirements .

  • Capable of prioritising and closing the customer issues within the stipulated time.

Desired capabilities:

  • Experience in ERPNext / Frappe implementation.

  • Experience in gathering and documenting requirements.

  • Understanding and experience in working with agile methodologies.

  • Understanding of accounting and finance concepts.

  • Exposure to planning, documenting, prioritising and reporting status.

  • Good modelling and model representation skills.

Key responsibilities:

They include

  • Analyse the customer needs as well as product capabilities and find solutions to address them.
  • Prepare documents like wire frames, design flow, UI etc., as and when required.
  • Design test cases and execute and track test results.
  • Track test defects through to closure.
  • Prepare test data and maintain existing test artefacts.
  • Coordinate and liaise with relevant parties for project related items.
  • Support the customer team members during and after implementation .
